After the initial difficulties during the Korsun Shevchenkovsky Operation, the 5th Guards Tank Corps engaged the 34th Infantry Division which was occupying field fortifications surrounding Vinograd.
Objectives: Your Battlegroup is to continue west from the bridgehead and capture the village along the road. In addition, the objective area farther west should be secured. Your platoon is to press on to the village. It is especially important to eliminate as many antitank gun positions as possible. If the other platoons falter, continue west to the objective.
